Mimosa Studios’ first tile project began in 2001 by inviting neighborhood children to paint free tiles which now hang in two large panels outside the shop’s front facade. Mimosa Studios has donated numerous projects for community and non-profit organizations as well as dozens of neighborhood schools.
Tile Painting Parties
We’ve hosted many painting parties where each person paints a ceramic tile for the guest of honor. Tile projects also are an excellent activity for families. You can pick a theme or just let each person do their own thing. Either way, the final projects are stunning and make wonderful gifts for friends and family members.

Tiles
Decorate a single tile and display it alone or set into a wood trivet or box. Choose from a small tile (4 ¼” x 4 ¼”) or a large tile (6″ x 6″). Tiles start at $5.
Cutting Boards
Display your fabulous artwork in a wall hanging cutting board, or put your children’s hand/foot print on proud display in your kitchen. A favorite for grandparents!
House Numbers
Make your own house numbers to really make your home your own! Wood frame comes unfinished so you can paint to match your house colors or oil for a handsome finish.
School Projects
Integrate a tile project into a learning unit in class. Each student can paint a tile on a specific theme, period of history, character in a book, etc. The possibilities are endless and are perfect for team building and classroom discussion. We can host a field trip or bring the studio to you.
